# License Management

Organisations can manage licenses for **eSign** and for **DSC** usage **separately**.

| License type                     | Unit                          | Managed as                                                           |
| -------------------------------- | ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| eSign transactions               | Transaction packs             | Pooled across applications or allocated per department / application |
| eSign v3 users                   | Named user licenses (annual)  | Assigned to individual signatories; reassignable when staff change   |
| DSC (token / Remote Key Storage) | Certificates                  | Issued to named individuals; tracked with validity and renewal       |
| Document Signer                  | Certificates + signing volume | Allocated to signer profiles                                         |

## Typical tasks

* Allocate eSign transaction quotas to departments or applications and set alerts.
* Assign, revoke or reassign eSign v3 user licenses.
* Track DSC holders, expiry dates and renewals, independent of eSign consumption.
* Download consumption reports for internal chargeback.
