# Remote Signing API Overview

REST API for automated signing with an organisation's Document Signer certificate held in an eMudhra HSM.

## Operations (summary)

| Operation          | Purpose                                                                        |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Sign hash(es)      | Up to 10 SHA-256 hashes per call → CMS / raw signatures and signer certificate |
| Sign PDF           | PDF + appearance parameters → signed PDF                                       |
| Get certificate    | Signer certificate and chain for a signer profile                              |
| Transaction status | Look up a past signing transaction                                             |

## Authentication

API client credentials per application, mutual TLS recommended, source IP allow-listing.
