# API Reference Overview

## Environments

| Environment | Purpose | Base URL |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| UAT / Pre-production | Integration testing with test identities | *Provided at onboarding* |
| Production | Live transactions | *Provided at onboarding* |

Each environment has its own `aspId`, ASP signing certificate mapping and IP allow-list.

## Before you start

1. Complete ASP onboarding and receive your `aspId`.
2. Register the certificate you will use to sign request XML.
3. Allow-list your server IPs and make your `responseUrl` reachable over HTTPS.
4. Read **Conventions and Security** for the rules common to all eSign APIs.
